TER HAAR and BRACH made photographic visualizations of colour combinations created with the juice of various vegetables
While working on their RAW COLOR project, DANIERA TER HAAR and CHRISTOPH BRACH were captivated by the colour of natural juices.
In 2007, they were asked to participate in an exhibition (NAT Designing Nature) with a project that combined nature, culture, biology and design. CHRISTOPH and DANIERA wanted to create a transparent vegetable by removing all colour from a beetroot. That was impossible, so they designed 100% Juice, an apparatus that squeezes juice from beetroot and empties the inky fluid into a sheet of paper.
100% juice
I love this project because it's truly a research project and they use colour as a material, it's become the leitmotif in their work. Nice.
