Last week I took 2 days to re-organzive and to clean my personal library. I love doing this just because you can reread very old art reviews and this is by this way that I discovered NATACHA LESUEUR, a french visual artist.
Her artistic preoccupations are with the body, appearance and apparel. The body is subjected to different treatments, such as constraint, staging and masking used as a site of inscription, a surface for the marks she wishes to make on it.
NATACHA LESUEUR won the Ricard Prize in 2000 and in 2002-2003 was awarded a residency at the Villa Medicis in Rome. She lives and works in Paris.
