In the Sunna, the other major holy Muslim book together with the Quran, the pictures of living are condemned. "Whoever makes a picture will be punished by Allah. He (the picture maker) will be ordered to breathe life into the picture, but he will not be able to do so". This is a piece that explores the relationship between photography and Islam.

I think this image perfectly suits the foreword. I would like to see the other images composing the piece but cannot find CHIARA's online.

And I really like the shot: the shadow on the dress make the gender of the subject quite ambiguous!
