KITAKAMAKURA HOUSE

It has been a really long time since I didn't write a good post about architecture. Found via Yatzer, SUPPOSE DESIGN OFFICE have made a virtue of difficult site conditions for a house in Kitakamakura.

KITAKAMAKURA HOUSE is situated in Kamakura, a city located in Kanagawa, Japan (about 50 km of Tokyo).

This Japanese house design is a fusion of the Japanese love of harmony and respect for the natural surrounding, otherwise known as organic architecture and the Western modification of a dematerialized architecture of steel, concrete and glass.

The first level consists of a living room, a kitchen, a dinning area and a bathroom. The second floor include an open space, a bedroom and a loft which is accessible through a ladder.

Architect MAKOTO TANIJIRI of SUPPOSE DESIGN OFFICE has integrated the building into the site as if it naturally grows out of the land with the least interference to the environment.
